How Publication Works
Publication is opt-in, reviewed, and parent-authorized. Your child creates the science; you decide whether the finished report should be sent for editorial review.

The parent authorizes review
A parent or guardian sees the report in Parent Hub and decides whether it should be sent to the Codex Journal review queue.

Editors review for fit and safety
The review checks scientific clarity, privacy, safety, and whether the entry can help other young scientists learn from or replicate the work.

Accepted entries become public record
Approved work appears as a Codex Journal entry with safe attribution, preserved data, and enough context for peers to build on the finding.
Parent Authorization
This is review approval, not a legal signature.
Inside STEMBuddy, parent authorization means you are giving permission for a finished Field Report to enter editorial review. It does not publish instantly, and it does not ask you to sign a contract. If the report is returned, your child can revise it without anything becoming public.
Approved entries never show a child real name, school, email, or private account details. The journal is designed for scientific prestige without social-network exposure.
